Is there a way to recover deleted text messages?

A dear person has just mistakenly deleted all the text messages on their mobile phone. There were some that they really cared for and therefore sadness overcame them.
I want to find out if there’s a way to retrieve those messages in some way, even if it’s complicated.

So, is there a way to recuperate them OR perhaps, consult a sort of “message history” available via the company of the phone’s operator?
(We’re not in the U.S, so the company might be unknown to most: it’s TIM, working in Italy).
Even if you know of a way to do this operation via a company in your country, therefore in that case it’d be a possible thing to do, let me know and I’ll look for some hope with the company over here.
