Which of the 6 reactor cores at the Fukushima I nuclear power plant pose the most serious risks?

Asked by mattbrowne (31732points) March 15th, 2011

Only 50 technicians are left, the rest left the installation. Can they manage the cooling of 6 reactor cores?

What about the damage of the containment in reactor 2?

What about the rods outside reactor core 4 which were taken out for maintenance checks?

What does it mean having to use helicopters to cool down the buildings? How can this be a substitute for seawater being pumped into the buildings?

How long can the remaining small group survive? 400 millisievert within one hour is a lot of radiation. Do we depend on robots if the situation gets worse? Will people sacrifice their lives to save thousands?
