I need help stiffening and smoothing out my hat...HELP?

I have a white baseball cap. Just your basic hat material (not felt or anything fancy) with a velcro strap in the back.

It’s gotten very wrinkly and lumpy with age and I’m wondering if there’s anything I can do smooth it out or stiffen it up a little bit without any special hat spray products.

Any homemade remedies?
