How to effectively shift from MS Outlook to Lotus Notes?

After years of using MS Outlook, I will be shifting to Lotus Notes for E-mail shortly.
On Outlook, I have folders as recommended by David Allen’s Getting Things Done (GTD) / 43folders.com…
@Pending, @Someday, @Waitingfor, and Reference
I also use the MS Oulook rules for tracking follow-up mails (http://waiting-for.com/)
I also use Quarterly PST files for backing up all email.
Can you please advise me on how a similar setup can be done on Lotus Notes?
Any other suggestions and tips on effective email and task management using Lotus Notes, are also welcome.
Thanks.
