Is the frenulum often removed in circumcisions?

Asked by Drewseph (533points) April 12th, 2011

Do they only really keep it if you ask for it, or are getting it done as an adult? This, oddly, is stressing me out. I’m afraid that my male peers may have a frenulum and that they may get more out of masturbation/sex. I don’t even know if they do, though. That’s just a fear. Also, is it usually partially or fully removed in circumcisions? Does it honestly make a difference in sensitivity or pleasure? Am I missing out? I don’t even know if I have one. I was circumcised as a baby at a hospital. I don’t have any sort of line that sticks out on my penis, so I am really puzzled… I don’t know why, but this has been worrying me for a while now. I have anxiety, and at first I wondered if my male peers were circumcised, and they said they were, but now I’m worrying about this little detail. I’m a perfectionist. If I was straight, I wouldn’t really care, but I may be bisexual, and the thought of getting it on with a guy who isn’t the “same” as me seems awkward…
