How do I cite books of the Bible?

Asked by troubleinharlem (7991points) May 6th, 2011

Okay, my mum is writing a paper that uses the Bible as a source, and she asked me for help on how to cite it. I know the formatting for the Works Cited Page and stuff, and I know how to do in text citations, but when I go to the works cited page, do I cite each book as a different source? Do I italicize the book names as well as the version of the Bible? (For instance, would I say ”John”. New Living Translation. ?) Or would I underline John instead?
