I saw this quote “Can u spare just €2? Ranji is a 24yr old Muslim man in Pakistan. He has one leg, one arm and one eye. Each day he has to ride 7 miles for water along a narrow road on a rusty bike with bent wheels, no brakes and only one pedal. If you send us just €2, we will send you the dvd – it’s fucking hilarious!” on Facebook, just now. So far it has 13,000 “likes.”
That is 13,000 people that have endorsed this statement.
I am pretty sure that I have a sense of humor, but I don’t understand this. Am I being uptight? Do you think this is funny?
What makes otherwise decent people think nothing of sharing a comment like this with their friends?
