What is the ugliest room in your house?

What makes it so ugly? Is it on a list of to-do fixes around the house, or is it beyond help?
Every time I walk into my basement I want to cringe. It is a typical, 100 year old unfinished basement… more like a dungeon. Damp, unlevel concrete, peeling paint, mismatched walls and floors. I am humiliated every time a meter reader or repairman has to go down there.
