NSFW What are my chances of being negative?

Asked by bwalla900 (64points) June 14th, 2011

I’ll try and be as politically correct as I can about this, but I am in a situation. A friend of mine just tested positive for HIV. Although he didn’t know he had it and is unsure for how long we believe he contracted it approx. 3 months ago. About 3 weeks ago (prior to him knowing)[we are gay] we had unprotected anal sex. I was the top and we were both pretty drunk. It never should have happened but it did.

The details of what happened (kind of embarrassing) are me not even fully inserting and going in about 2 minutes. We did use lubricant and I went pee right after.

I am terrified because I’ve been on the straight and narrow for most of my life and now this. There was no blood or tearing(that I am aware of) and I have no cuts or sores on my penis. I am terrified that I could have be positive and plan on getting tested VERY soon.

I realize the only way to know for sure is to get tested but perhaps some of you have been in similar situations or are more knowledgeable then I am. I understand I took a risk and will accept the outcome but also understand the situation may have been slightly lower risk for me. Do you think there is a decent chance I could still be negative?
