How can I make the image on my computer screen less wide?

My sister borrowed my laptop, when I got it back both the pictures and text that appeard on my screen are very wide. I asked her if she changed anything to make this happen and she said “no”, not intentionally at least. I thought I had to go to my “control panel” and then change it in “appearance and personalization” but I could not find anything. I have a Windows HP. Please help me, my computer screen looks one of those funny mirrors that make you think your fat!
