How would you rank your top 5 Comic book Movie Adaptations?

I’m a huge fan of graphic novels, and over the last decade there have been a list of adaptations to the silver screen. Some have been amazing, some have been terrible. What would be your top 5 comic—>film adaptations? It can be any comic or graphic novel (doesn’t have to be some kind of superhero), and any time (not just the last 10 years). A long list of possible movies that I can think of is below, followed by my personal top 5.

Some options (not all)
Batman (1989), Batman Returns (92), Batman Forever (95), Batman + Robin (97), Batman Begins (05), The Dark Knight (08), Superman (78), Superman 2 (80), Superman 3 (83), Superman 4 (87), Superman Returns (06), The Crow (94), The Punisher (89), The Punisher (04), Punisher: War Zone (08), 30 Days of Night (07), 300 (07), Blade (98), Blade 2 (02), Blade Trinity (04), Cat Woman (04), Daredevil (03), Elektra (05), Fantastic Four (05), Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (07), From Hell (01), Ghost Rider (07), Green Lantern (11), Constantine (05), Hellboy (04), Hellboy: The Golden Army (08), A History of Violence (05), Hulk (03), The Incredible Hulk (08), Iron Man (08), Iron Man 2 (10), Jonah Hex (10), Judge Dredd (95), Kick Ass (10), The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (03), The Losers (10), The Mask (04), Men in Black (97), Red (10), Road to Perdition (02), The Rockateer (91), Scott Pilgrim vs The World (10), Sin City (05), Spawn (97), Spider Man (02), Spider Man 2 (04), Spider Man 3 (07), The Spirit (08), Surrogates (09), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (90), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Secret of the Ooze (91), TMNT 3 (93), Thor (11), Timecop (94), V for Vendetta (06), Watchmen (09), X-Men (00), X-2 (03), X-Men:The Last Stand (06), Wolverine (09), X-Men: First Class (11)

(ok thats not really a small list, lol)

My own picks:
5) V for Vendetta – Arguably the most political story on the list above (and in graphic novels all together). Great story, graphic/gritty, faithful adaptation until the end. The movie imo is better than the book here, but both leave you wanting more at the end… but its hard to deny the awesomeness of the story.
4) X-Men – Kick started the current comic book movie craze with studios. Showed you could adapt comic books to be more realistic and marketable to more than the comic book niche. Not to mention I love X-Men…
3) The Crow – The Original “gritty” comic book movie. Until the Crow it was all poppy bright colored nonsense. The Crow showed a comic book movie could be graphic, dark, and involve incredibly non-PG elements. Still a great movie to this day.
2) Scott Pilgrim vs The World – I really like this movie. Its sort of superhero, sort of comedy, sort of videogame-genre, sort of a lot of things. Its kind of a niche movie (if its your type of thing you’ll love it, otherwise you may just think meh), but a great movie imo.
1) The Dark Knight – What do you really say? This is the pinnacle of comic-based films. Its not directly based off a comic, though elements and threads are torn from multiple Batman comics (The Killing Joke for example), but its simply amazing.

Special Mentions: Superman, Batman(89), The Watchmen, Red, The Mask, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
