Can I do anything about this laptop computer mishap?

In December of 2009, I bought an ASUS computer from Best Buy Company in the Midwest. In December of 2010, I brought the computer to Best Buy to get a new battery and they sent it to ASUS. ASUS replaced the battery AND the keyboard that had an ALT key messed up. They also diagnosed the computer and it passed all tests. Recently (last few months) I was having issues with the battery power cord cable so I brought it to Best Buy and they tested it and sold me anothr power cord cable. That worked for 2 days and then my computer went dead and would not charge at all. I then had Best Buy test it and they said it was probably my dc adapter and I may need a new motherboard and that a power surge probably burnt it out. It would cost around $400ish to fix. I brought it to a less expensive place and the guy said showed me that a screw was loose in the computer and rolling around. He said the screw probably arced and burnt out the motherboard. I called for a second opinion and they said the screw probably shorted out the M.B. This screw was left in my laptop from the ASUS repair technician, 99% most likely. My computer is not warrantied any longer.
