Is there any scientific truth to Sanpaku?

Asked by Sponge (541points) July 22nd, 2011

I learned about it today, did some ‘Googling’, and found out I have what the Chinese call ‘Yin Sanpaku’. This is when the bottom part of the white part of the eye, known as the sclera, is visible. I read about the myths, but are there any scientific truths to them? Or are people just born with different iris sizes?
