Why do some actors or actresses seem to appear in so many commercials?

I am thinking specifically of this woman. She is in that commerical for Metamucil, this one for esurance, and this one for 1–800-DENTIST.
It appears that this woman is named Suzi Barrett, and is supposed to be a sketch comedianne. She also owns her own advertising agency.
Does it distract you when you notice the same person in several different ads? Why does this bother me more than, say, radio advertising, which has several people in many different commercials? Does it matter in the commercials above, where the actress is playing someone with similar characteristics, and facial gestures?
