Should stupidity be painful?

Asked by MacBatman31 (2043points) July 30th, 2011

We have all had encounters with stupid people. I want to hear about yours.
Mine for example: I went to the local Applebee’s with my Mom and Sister for a nice dinner (my Mom is deaf). We walk in the door, my Mom is leading the way, while still signing with me, continuing the conversation we had started in the car (my Mom is still deaf and led us into the restaurant, so it is established she can see). We get to the hostess stand and the hostess asks us how many people we had and if we wanted a booth or a table. I smile, inform her that we only had three people and we would like a table. As the hostess was leading us to our table, she turns to me and asks, “Would she like a braille menu?”
Not only do deaf people not need braille menus, but she also didn’t even ask my Mom if she wanted then menu.
Now this is just one of my stories, but I would like to hear yours. Share away.
