Ever heard of a laptop designed for a person suffering with "Best Disease?"?

Hi! My boss suffers from “Best Disease,” a form of macular degeneration. After ordering a Dell laptop, and realizing that he couldn’t see the back lit keys at all (or even with the lighting off), he has asked me to look around to see if anyone makes a laptop for people with his kind of vision problem. Ever heard of a “high contrast” laptop? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
