How do I obtain a new copy of the System Preferences app for Mac?

I’m running 10.7 (Lion) on a new machine that didn’t come with recovery CDs. I need a new copy because ever since I unsuccessfully attempted to move System Preferences.app to the Utilities folder, attempts to open it now produce the dialog “You can’t open the application System Preferences.app because it may be damaged or incomplete.”

I am not looking for any other apps such as TinkerTool, Onyx, etc.—just trying to replace System Preferences. Thanks.
