How do I figure out this simple math fraction?

93¼ is .9325

I honestly don’t know how this is. The way I’m doing it is ¼= .25 and I would have put 93.25

Same goes for this
109¼ is really 1.0925

I probably would’ve put 109.25

I know this is simple math and I feel really stupid for asking but please help with placing the decimals.
