Do politicians expel intestinal gas?

It got me wondering. I don’t think I’ve ever heard one break wind. You have a bunch of old guys together that all look like they eat well and yet I never recalled hearing one rear burp before. Are they timing them to happen when the microphone squeals or do they just avoid gassy foods when they are going in front of the camera, or are they like the tree that falls in a forest?
This is just a fun curiosity question. I’m wondering has anyone really ever heard on expel gas? Do they know of ways of avoiding public wind breaking?
