Why can't I turn my audio format midi to 192000.0 Hz 2ch-24bit integer?

I’m using a MacBookPro 8gb 10.7.2 and the mic is a Yeti Pro by Blue. I’m on the Audio MIDI setup menu. I select the 192 and then it goes to it for a while, and then reverts back to 44. Any advice? Is it just my sound card? Can you help me select a self install of a sound card and recommend a brand?
