Do you think gang violence is down in the U.S.A. due to rise of the internet?

I just feel like one day there will be a test question for American History 100 that goes along the lines of,
“True or False, gang violence declined post 9/11 due to the rise of the internet”
I don’t know if I just got older and don’t notice it anymore, or if it’s not just my notion by indeed a fact. I can’t find anything at the moment.
Also, do you personally feel in your area or know of an area in which gang violence has dropped due to the rise of the internet?
