Any awesome "small world" stories to tell?

I was driving home from school the other day (I commute to school and live about 40mi away). About 30mi from school, I was stuck in a jam and I noticed two things:

The car in front of me has an alumni license plate from my school.

The car behind me….was my professor from my morning class. He drove an old Ford and it was surprising, strange, and awkward to see him out of context. Usually he’s in front of the class with the “almighty know all” personality, or at least that’s how I see him. But on the freeway I saw him as just another person annoyed by the jam. He passed me on the right after following me for a few minutes. I think him being on the old side also added to the effect. I saw him as professional, scientific, knowledgeable, and as a teacher. Then, I saw him as a frustrated older person driving an even older looking Ford. It was just too hard to believe it’s all a coincidence. The timing, the day, the people…everything.
