Roses are red, violets are blue, I wrote a love poem, how about you?

Ah, you feel that? Love is in the air… Or my neighbors are getting it on… Ugh, old people are nasty!

Anyway, for Valentine’s day, I ended sending a love poem across the US to the one I love. Anyone else here write up some love poetry for their loved one(s) this Valentines? Would you care to share?

Here’s mine:

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Oh screw this,
It’s not good enough for you

Truth be told is this,
That no words can ever say,
My feelings of love and bliss,
And how you make me feel this way

Forgive me for these poor substitutes,
Which can never hope to portray,
My tree of love’s roots,
Nor how you brighten my day

My love is like an ocean,
No word can ever describe,
A beautiful melodic tune,
That makes me feel alive

So yes, roses are red,
And violets have a purplish hue,
Forgive me my love for this substitute of passion,
I love you.
