Why can I see all the veins in my chest?

Today I looked in the mirror and realized that I could see every vein from my torso up. I can often see them clearly in my face, but today it was EVERY VEIN in my chest. It looked really weird. Is it just because it’s the middle of winter, and I’m the palest that I ever am? Can you see the veins in your chest? All of them? Clearly? Why can I?
