Book signings in a paperless publishing world?

Pretending for a moment that ebooks took over paper, what do you think would take the place of an authors book signing? Signing an iPad/Kindle would feel awkward, especially once you delete their book from your library. How would you feel about the extinction of the ‘autographed copy’?
