How long does it take a subscapularis strain to heal?

I was in a car accident 5 months ago. And from the accident I strained the subscapularis muscle. I was wondering how long they normally take to heal. My doctor didn’t really give me anything to go with. Just said it should heal. Is there anything I should do to get heal it?
