What are the best colors to paint a house (in the country, in the West Coast, near water and Mt. Rainier) for resale?

I realize that painting the outside (and maybe the inside too) is what I must do to sell this wonderful old house. Also refinish the floors upstairs, and rewax the oak downstairs. So, best colors for outside? Thanks in advance!
