Should I tell my boyfriend I love him?

I’m 19 and have been with my boyfriend for a few months. We talk every day, and see each other whenever we can (I’m 2 hours away at university). He’s super romantic and sweet, and lately I’ve found myself wanting to tell him I love him every time I speak to him. Although we’ve not been together that long, we’ve been through a hell of a lot together and I honestly can’t imagine being without him. Should I tell him I love him when I go home for Christmas? Or is it too soon and will freak him out?
