Do you prefer a doctor of the same gender as yourself?

This question is inspired by a comment made by Australia’s “first bloke” who, when encouraging men to regularly have a digital prostate exam, said to it is good to seek out a small female asian doctor to do the job. So it made me wonder, I, personally, do prefer a female gyno. What is your preference, do you guys agree with the first bloke? And what about the women, which is your choice?
