What would be a reasonable adjustment period for new glasses?

I got new specs yesterday. I was kind of surprised, though, when it was such an adjustment. When I first got glasses three months ago, it took me all of a few hours to get used to them. This time, though, I still feel like my head is an extra foot off the ground and the floor is all ripply. I’m still having occasional headaches, too. It just doesn’t seem right. So my question is: How long can I expect this adjustment period to last? Could it be that I somehow got wrong lenses? When should I call the ophthalmologist about it?
