Is the Youtube pronouncement an April fool's joke?

This(Laughing+Squid) claims that as of tonight Youtube is deleting all videos. Since it started in 2005, they say it has been a contest to find the best video and entries are now closing and all content will no longer be available. Then in 2023 they will announce the winner. It sounds crazy to me but I have downloaded all the vids that I want to keep just in case it is true. What do you think???
