Does he like me? help?

I know this is a dumb question but I just want to know… I’m in 8th grade. there is this Guy and he is showing mixed signals I think!
*he doesn’t hug me around his friends because well, you know how guys are…
*he hugs me when no one else sees or when his friends aren’t around
*when he hugs me its tight and around my waist… bodies pressed together my head on his chest <3 best feeling ever!
*he treats me differently than my friends but he is also best friends with his ex
*he doesn’t really get mad at me or yell at me
*he playfully says “I love you” and stuff like that
*he sits with me in 5th period unless one of his friends from his group of buddies is gone… then he sits with them </3
*today he was all interested in what I was going to be wearing for the banquet on the last day of school and he was trying to be a show off (like always)
*he sometimes talks about how he wishes he “had a girl” for the banquet but he never mentions a specific one when he’s around me…
I know I’m young but I need to know because I need a date for the 8th grade banquet and I really like this Guy;)
