NSFW: How vocal are you?

A recent answer on the talking-during-sex thread inspired this question.

Are you vocal during sex?

If so, in what way? Moaning, groaning, talking, screaming, panting, whispering, directing? How loud do you tend you get? Are you vocal because you can’t control it? Is it for the benefit of your partner? Is it to fill the silence?

If not, why do you think that is?

Be sure to mention your gender, as I suspect men are generally quieter than women for some reason. Feel free to speculate on that as well.

BQ: Do you prefer your partner to be vocal or quiet during sex? Are you impartial? Or does it depend on the situation? What type of noise do you like best?
