Kitten has watery eyes and discharge coming from both his eyes and nose. Any suggestions?

I want to keep the kitten (he’s a stray), but I really don’t want a big vet bill at the moment, either. Are there any home remedies that could cure this (i.e. eye drops, antibiotics, etc.)?
