Can the typical person tell physical differences between southeast and east Asian?

I’m kind of curious to know if the typical person that isn’t very exposed to different types of Asians can tell the difference between the two. Southeast Asian (Cambodian, Lao, Thai, Indonesia, Filipino) tend to be shorter, darker, have bigger eyes/folds in their eyes, rounder nose whereas East Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) tend to be taller, lighter, bigger bridge nose, smaller eyes?

I feel like you can clearly see a big difference but people still tend to think you’re Chinese. Here’s some pics
