Is there a television show or movie that is set in (supposedly) your region? If so, what inaccuracies take you out of the story?

The A&E series, Longmire(TV_series) is set in my neck of the woods and the author of the original stories is actually a native of the area.

California production teams get details wrong (aside from filming in Santa Fe, NM because apparently one western state looks just like another).

The main error is that all of the characters, who have been there long enough to know better, pronounce the name of the region incorrectly! It’s Absaroka (right on the MT/WY border) and only an outsider would pronounce it Ab-so-ROKE-ah. It’s Ab-ZOR-kah, or Ab-ZOR-key, and much of it is green and mountainous, not as much high-plains desert.

Don’t even get me started on the episode where the second-generation stock detective is tracking cattle thieves and refers to an obvious steer as a heifer.

So, what has Hollywood gotten wrong when filming something in your field of expertise?
