One year after Aurora: opposing rallies in the same location (see details). How can we de-politicize this (or any) tragedy?

There is are two events scheduled on the anniversary of the Aurora Theater Shooting last year. One is sponsored by Mayors Against Illegal Guns, the other is sponsored by Rocky Mountain Gun Owners. These two events are scheduled to be held in the same park in Aurora, but miles away fromthe City of Aurora‘s official remembrance.
