Is it possible to consult renowned physicists online?

What if we’d like to actually speak to some of our favourite contemporary astronomers, physicists, etc.?
How could I actually ask,say, Stephen Hawking a question and get an answer from him? Michio Kaku is just a fan page on facebook.. but where does he receive mail from the public and interact, if at all?
