Can moving back to a town you've missed for five years bring happiness?

I realize that several things in life are bringing me down but most I can’t do anything about. One thing that has made me so sad for a few years is missing the town we lived in for ten years. Our old friends back there, the weather, certain restaurants, the scenery and wildlife in the yard. Do you think it could make me significantly happier if we moved back there if or when we can afford it ? Or should I just drive five hours once a year and visit ?
