How far can one homeschool for credit?

In Alberta one can homeschool to grade 12 and you can take the diploma exams for $26.75 a test. I would like to know if I can homeschool past high school, like a trade, or university degree. I think Cambridge , and Athabasca University might do something like that, where you take the university exams… Can I get a higher level with home-schooling?
