Could I catch this cold from my husband (see details)?

Hopefully, this question isn’t as stupid as it sounds.
I had a cold last week. It began with a sore throat Sunday, sneezing/runny nose Monday through Wednesday, horrible chest congestion Thursday, bad cough Friday. Today I’ve got a bit of the sniffles and a little cough, but I’m on the mend.
Yesterday, my husband started getting sick, with a sore throat and nasal congestion. Today he has a fever of 101 with body aches. I didn’t get a fever at all.
My real question is if the same cold can present differently between people. And if he did, indeed, catch this from me, chances are I won’t catch it again from him, right?
