How do you manage your lousy sleep patterns?

Mine are particularly bad at the moment. I probably sleep around 4 a.m. Which, explains my fluthering lately!
I am thinking of cutting it one hour short each night to get it back to midnight.
Not sleeping much wrecks havoc with my day.
Do you have a bad sleep pattern? How do you manage it in your daily life?
