Would an "ask me anything" style question ever work here?

This is something I’ve seen in other forums that sparked some great discussion. One person posts an area of expertise or life experience, like “I know how to pickle any kind of vegetable” or “I lived with the penguins in Antarctica for a year,” and other people ask them all about it. It brought out surprising facts about people and I learned some very cool things!
Would that format work here?
