Is there an app for my android phone where I can track its location using a computer?

The apps I keep running into are to track other phones using my phone. That’s not what I want to do. What I want to do is download something on my phone so that if it ever gets lost I can go to a site or something and enter the numer or something like that and it will show me approximately where it is at the moment.
