Does taking your medication and vitamins screw up what time you can eat?

This might be more of a rant than anything, but I am interested to hear everyone’s rant.

I take thyroid medicine that must be taken on an empty stomach. I also take iron that cannot be taken within 4 hours of taking my thyroid medicine, and is better if taken on an empty stomach. Lastly, I take some vitamins that are best absorbed when taken with food. I know that probably does not sound like a big deal, but I find it annoying just the same.

I have known people who have much more complicated regimens, and it is medication that really must be taken correctly, like my diabetic friends amd friends with HIV cone to mind. While my vitamins and minerals can be missed a day or two and no harm is done. My thyroid med is crucial though. A missed day is a very big deal, because I am difficult to regulate. Also, I can’t miss weeks of my vitamins and minerals, a few of my supplements are necessary like medicine. My vitamin D, B12, and iron will get very low if I don’t take it and they have health consequences for me.

What’s your regimen? You don’t have to tell us what pills they are if you prefer not to reveal your specfic health concerns, I am more interested in the rant of how inconvenient it is to take them and how it might control your day.
