Did I just ruin my cast-iron skillet?

I was using one of those “plastic” spatulas that are designed for non-stick pans. (Don’t ask why!) The skillet was empty, and I left the room for a few minutes. I got distracted and forgot the heat was still on under the skillet, so the spatula melted onto the skillet. Will heating it again remove all the plastic from the pan?
