How can I shrink a shirt on purpose?

I’ve shrunk clothes accidentally in the past. I think it was the hot water and/or the hot dryer.

I now have some shirts that are too big for me. I like the color and the material, so I’m wondering if it might make sense to try and shrink them on purpose. The hot water/dryer trick didn’t work. Any suggestions?
