What is the name of this movie?

I only remember the opening of this movie, and I’m not even sure it exists. It starts with a girl walking alone down a street at night. A truck pulls up and she gets in. The vibe is that she is hitchhiking and doesn’t know the person, whose face you never see. After they drive a little while he pulls over and points a gun in her face. Then blackout. There may have been a gunshot. There also may have been narration by the girl. I saw this as a child so it’s a fuzzy memory. It had to have been made around or before the mid 90’s.
