What exactly can I do with a bottle of maraschino cherries?

I guess the bag boy mixed things up, because I came home from the grocery store last night with a mysterious container of maraschino cherries. No, I am not trekking back to the store to return them. The store has shorted me before by leaving things out of my bag that I actually paid for – so tough titty for the original buyer.

Are they a Thanksgiving thing? I’m a guy, I don’t cook holiday meals. (My girlfriend asks me to clean the house, instead).
