Taking Sertraline and Abilify COLD TURKEY.

Hello, I’m Jason, and I have a question about taking Sertraline and Abilify for over 10 years. My question was, is it OK to stop taking Sertraline and Abilify cold turkey, BUT, now I know not to do that.
The only concern I have is that I already have stop taking BOTH Medications for 4 weeks. And I started to lose weight. I use to weigh 238 pounds, and now I weigh 190 pounds. I lost 48 pounds in a 8 to 10 week time period.
I told my Doctor that I stop taking it, but she said I can go back and start taking BOTH medications again. And that is what I am doing now, one in the morning, and one in the evening. BUT, my question is should I go back to a doctor and get checked to make sure there is no harm done to my organisms or anything?
